I'm not comparing the acts, I'm comparing the lack of control, or the whole "born with it" excuse. A murderer may be born with the desire to kill, but that doesn't excuse their behaviour. Both murder and pedophilia can have negative affects on people, to varying degrees. So just because we are born with this desire doesn't make it right. In fact, there are situations where both pedophilia and murder are both morally moot.
For example, the murder of someone for survival or after that person volunteered to be killed, is not immoral.
In the same way that sex between a consenting adult and child is not immoral.
Being "born with it" doesn't address all the nuances that life comes with. It's a poor excuse that can be used to justify some shitty behaviour
